Chichester is one of the most charming cities on the South Coast and has so much to offer, all within walking distance of Hideaway Terrace. Explore one of the greatest collections of 20th-century British fine art in Pallant House Gallery and unearth Chichester’s rich Roman heritage in the archaeological remains of Novium Museum. Foodies will be in their element as there’s no shortage of sensational culinary possibilities here. A short drive away are the quaint harbour villages of Bosham and Itchenor, dotted with harbourside pubs, sailing boats, and diverse species of wildlife. Chichester is also within easy reach of the South Downs National Park, known for its varied landscapes and stunning views.

Where to eat and drink
You are spoilt for choice with places to eat in Chichester, but the recent addition of the Ivy is a great option. It's a beautiful brasserie with a glamorous and eclectic deco-inspired interior in the heart of Chichester and is a great place to stop between shops or for an evening meal or cocktail.
What to do in the local area
Events at Goodwood are of course a real highlight. From the wonderful Revival and Festival of Speed at the motor circuit, to horse racing at the racetrack, you can be sure to experience a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere. There are also two excellent vineyards nearby and I would highly recommend a tour and tasting at either Tinwood or Ashling Park. There can't be many nicer ways to enjoy the Sussex countryside than to sit sipping a glass of cold English sparkling wine!
