Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at this luxurious two-bedroomed city haven. Tucked away down a tiny historic lane, Hideaway Terrace is an enchanting, 17th century red-brick cottage that combines contemporary charm with sophisticated luxury.

Nudge open the grey front door and step inside this ultra-stylish, design-led home. In the living room, discover two sumptuous sofas, a 58" television, and a cosy wood-burning stove for ultimate relaxation.

The kitchen is fitted with all the essentials you could ask for, including a Nespresso coffee machine and an elegant marble dining table. There's also a fabulous downstairs loo.

Upstairs, two beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms await (one with a king-size and the other with a queen-size bed). But take note: soft, ambient lighting and luxurious White Company bedding mean you’ll struggle to get up in the morning. And for the ultimate treat, relax and unwind in the luxurious copper bath, and enjoy the complementary Molton Brown goodies and luxury bath robes.

Outside, a picturesque walled courtyard garden, flowing with the sweet fragrance of jasmine and clematis, is perfect for al fresco dining and drinks. Sip wine under the gentle glowing lights and, on summer evenings, you could almost believe you're in the Mediterranean.

No detail has been overlooked in this thoughtfully designed property, making Hideaway Terrace an idyllic bolthole for four, or a romantic retreat for two (however, this property is not suitable for children).

Owner recommendations

Where to eat and drink

You are spoilt for choice with places to eat in Chichester, but the recent addition of the Ivy is a great option. It's a beautiful brasserie with a glamorous and eclectic deco-inspired interior in the heart of Chichester and is a great place to stop between shops or for an evening meal or cocktail.

What to do in the local area

Events at Goodwood are of course a real highlight. From the wonderful Revival and Festival of Speed at the motor circuit, to horse racing at the racetrack, you can be sure to experience a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere. There are also two excellent vineyards nearby and I would highly recommend a tour and tasting at either Tinwood or Ashling Park. There can't be many nicer ways to enjoy the Sussex countryside than to sit sipping a glass of cold English sparkling wine!
